Ladies training day - Part 1
As to be expected it was a rather hot day, hey it is summer! A word from...the Editor | Feb-Mar 2019
As always, getting the Triton dirty is essential, although at the moment it seems that the dirt on it is left over from trips last year. As a FIFO the benefit with an even time roster is a lot of time at home, the catch sometimes you have to be at work when you’d rather not be, and Christmas last year was spent amidst a heat wave exceeding a week of days none less than 43 degrees a long way from home. Erik trying to work out what is growing on my face! G’day Everyone, Happy New Year, I trust that everyone had a good Christmas and had some quality time with family & loved ones. Hopefully you managed to squeeze in some sort of break over the holiday season and got some much needed R&R. It’s hard to believe as I write this that we are already halfway through January, before you know it you will be wishing for another getaway and that is where being part of the club is great.

Mt Dale Recce
This was a recce to gain some ideas for a future trip and as an alternative route to Mt Dale or the beginning of an off bitumen route to Albany. A faded sign that read “ Road past this point is non-trafficable during Winter ” promised challenges given our recent rain. However, the track appeared largely unused and just had pools of water across the track. Most of the ruts were axle deep with hard gravel bottoms except the last one. The back end of the Patrol sank and sank. I
