Well, we picked a great day for it! Cold, rainy, yet not miserable 😊.
The group met at 9:30 as planned, and after a brief chat regarding the track we would take (choice of 4.6km, 7.9km or 14.8km), we agreed that mid-range would work and set off.
Almost immediately we started mixing with the locals.
About 1km in, we got to the first sign/ marker, which was when one of us started asking “are we there yet?” (and no Simon we were not 😊). It was also at this time we came across the first of many water crossings.

The hike is quite a nice stroll, with stunning views of the surrounding country and the City (a few photos show this off well.

Once we had our fill of the views, it was time to really hit the track. Some of it was quite narrow, so good thing we weren’t wearing shorts 😊

As you will see, it got a bit wet (and rooooolly cold), but we had a great time, with water crossings and finishing in a little hut at the Park for a breather before running to the cars.

After drying off, we took off to the Parkerville Tavern for a well-deserved lunch and bevy! What a great way to finish the day.

Thanks to all who attended, and big thanks to Di and Keith for the photos.
